Small Step in the Holy Month of Ramadhan with ESA and ESC

          Purworejo – Friday, 25^th to Saturday 26^th  May 2018 has been held MABIT. MABIT stands for Malam Bina Iman dan Taqwa. MABIT is the first work program in Ramadhan that held by ESA and ESC. ESA (English Student Association) is a student’s association of English Education Department while ESC (English Study Centre) is one of the student’s activity in campus, the place where students study English.

          On the first day, MABIT was held in room A campus B in Purworejo Muhammadiyah University. This event started at 4 p.m. This event includes the opening, read the holy Qur’an, an kajian sore with Mr. Ari Fajar Isbakhi, M.Pd.I. who delivered about FIQIH ISLAM. Then, breaked fasting together, prayed Maghrib together, prayed Tarawih together and read the holy Qur’an together. After that, there was an kajian malam with Mr. Nasruddin, M.Si. who delivered the nine golden habits. Beside that, he explained and motivated the students to do something good in the holy month of Ramadhan especially for increasing worship in the holy month of Ramadhan

          On the second day, this event includes prayed Tahajud in campus’s mosque, ate sahur together, and kultum pagi. Kultum pagi was held after ate sahur that filled by Latifah Femi Nuraini who delivered the motivation of worship.

          This event ran successfully. “This event held aims  to strengthen silaturrahim between ESA and ESC. In addition, I also hope that this event can bring us closer to Allah SWT”. Said Nur Azizah as the chairman of this event.

How to Encourage English Department Students to Speak English More Often and Confidently

As we know that English Department Students should speak English more often and confidently. Basically it’s impossible if English Department Students can’t speak English cause the speaking skill is very important thing for English Department Students which they have mastered.

This speaking skill can be mastered by English Department Students with several ways.

Firstly, the students always speak English in every daily life especially in class with their lecturers and their friends. Make a simple conversation or discuss about the subject.

Secondly, listen to the music and watching a movie to improve the students vocabulary cause have many vocabulary can help the students to speak English fluently.

Furthermore, the students can read something related to English. Like story, magazine, newspaper, novel, and etc. From read many thing, the students get many knowledge to speak English well.

Therefore, it can be clearly reached that if the students do several ways above, the students can speak English more often and confidently.

You should implement this!

My Organization

Organization is a social unit of people that is structured and managed to reach a goal. All organization have different activities, ubdivides, responsibility, and authority to carry out the tasks.

I follow some organizations, especially in my campus. One of them is ESC. ESC is a stand for English Study Centre. It is an organization which the students follow to develop their English skill. Beside that, I also follow PIKMA. An organization in my campus that give the students information about health and give services to students about anything ralated to teenager.

I get some extraordinary experiences when I follow organization in my campus, like both of ESC and PIKMA. There, I can study together with students from other department. The most important thing which I get in organization is the way how I work together with other people in a team.

Agrowisata Tanjungsari

Agrowisata Tanjungsari is the beautiful tea garden in Wonosobo.

Agrowisata Tanjungsari is located in Wonosobo street km. 14 Sapuran on the island of Java in Indonesia. This location is alternative strip that cut the south strip of Java Island, especially Yogyakarta.

The weather around the tea garden is very fresh and cool. Not surprise that the tea garden has the beautiful scenes because near with the slop of Sindoro mount. The visitors can enjoy many objects there. They can enjoy recreation place or just walk surrounding the tea garden. The can take a picture and enjoy many outdoor tourisms there. Especially hiking and outbond. It is very interesting.

Lala and Lili

Once upon a time, there were two beautiful twin girls. Named Lala and Lili. They were walking through the forest together. The sang and danced together happily. They enjoyed the beauty of nature eventhough they knew that anything dangerous can happen anytime in the forest. So they promised each other that they would always together in any case of danger.

Suddenly in the middle of road, Lala slipped into the gorge. She hold on root of tree tightly while screaming. He called Lili many times. Lili help me, Lili help me, Lili help me. Lili looked at Lala confusely. Alog that, suddenly they saw a large bear getting cloer toward them. Lili ran away from Lala to save himself from the big bear. Lili still ran for hiding place.

Then a prince came to drive out a big bear and saved Lala. A prince pulled up Lala. Lala was very grateful to the prince. They looked each other and smiled. After Lala survived, she was still thinking about Lili. Lala and the prince looked for Lili but Lili had already fallen into the gorge and died.

How to make a Beautiful Danboo Doll

Materials:

1. Three Flanel Fabric  

2. Ribbon

3. Button

4. Thread

5. Sewing Pin

6. Ruler

7. Dacron

8. Glue

9. Scissor

10. Candle

11. Safety Match

Danboo is a beautiful doll from flanel fabric that easy to make. First, prepare all of the materials. After that, choose two colour of flanel fabric in the square form. Then make many line and cut flanel fabric become 12 big part about 8 cm and 12 small part about 4 cm with different colour. Next, sewing flanel fabric. Then add the dacron into flanel fabric full. After that sewing it again. Do the same thing to another square of flanel fabric. Next apply glue to embed the eyes, mouth, hand and foot of Danboo doll. If you want Danboo doll look beautiful, you may increase the ribbon and the button in a Danboo doll. Finally, now a beautiful Danboo doll from flanel fabric ready to be a souvenier.

A Tiring Day

Last week, my friends and I hold a ‘Comparative Study’ to Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University (UMY). We left at 08.00 a.m by a car. Our trip took about two hours.

We arrived in Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University (UMY) at 10 a.m. We welcomed by all of the members of Student English Activity (SEA) very well. It was one of the name of campus activity which we headed. We went to the 3^rd floor and entered to the race room of 'Toastmaster Competition'. We watched the student’s performance. From there, I got some knowledge how to spoke English well. I felt it took long time to watch the competition. I was tired and got sleepy without aware. Suddenly, I was very surprised because everyone clapped their hands for the contestant. My friend beside me laughed at me. I just kept silent and opened my eyes. I paid attention to the contestant again.

After that, we said good bye to all of the members of Student English Activity (SEA). Before, we wnt to Campus, we took a picture and had a lunch together. Then, we went back to the Campus and arrived at 03.00 p.m.

That’s my story. It was one of an interesting experience I’ve ever had.
